Join us as we celebrate Bloomsday online via Zoom!
James Joyce's Ulysses was banned in Europe and the US when it was first published in 1922, but the novel was eventually seen as a masterpiece of modern literature. Filled with excursions in literary style, Ulysses casts a sharp satirical light on the literature of the previous century, and the medium would never be the same.
The Celtic Arts Center follows the tradition of Joyce enthusiasts worldwide in celebrating Bloomsday, named after the book's hero whose wanderings about Dublin on a single day in 1904 are described in epic proportion.
Join us and listen in as we bring the book to life in a 90-minute reading featuring performers and friends of the Celtic Arts Center. The presentation starts at 7 PM on Sunday, June 13 and is free of charge to anyone who is a subscriber of our email announcements.
Zoomsday log-in details will be shared to subscribers just prior to the event. Subscribe Now!
