Cainc Yr Aradwr (The Plowman's Tune)
This is a traditional Welsh song. Our phonetics are an amalgam of Eva Gordon's and Doug Dean's formed from close listening of a recording and our own interpretation. They are by no means exact (we're not Welsh speakers) nor do we use International Phonetic Alphabet symbols in our notation. It's more of a agreed-upon, proprietary phonetic notation system.
How does the tune go? It can be found on our Dylan Thomas Night Practice CD or on Siwsann George's "Traditional Songs of Wales - Caneuon Traddodiadol Cymru" CD.

English Translation 1]
The sun will rise though it will set tonight,
The moon will rise gleaming again,
The summer flowers will rise from the gentle earth,
But never, never will my heart rise.
2]
The sun will rise, the moon will rise,
The ocean will raise terrible waves,
The wind will raise high enough,
The longing will never rise from my heart.
3]
The sun will rise when comes the morning,
The mist will rise off meadows,
The dew will rise off the clover,
Poor me, when will my heart rise?
