Ongoing Responsibilities:
• Oversees the Monday night seisiúns and all other music performances.
• Oversees all music concerts or delegates the responsibility.
• Oversees the Center's choir, An Cór Ceilteach or delegates.
• Works with all department directors and/or event coordinators to provide music content as needed.
• Oversees the Center's musician referral service.
• Works with the Education Director and/or Class Coordinator to develop music curriculum.
• Develops and impliments any and all musical programming at the Center (i.e., house band, etc.)
• Acts as a representative of The Celtic Arts Center to the community.
• Participates in development of budgets.
Ad-Hoc Responsibilities:
• Provide musicians for special needs that arise.
• Oversees music recordings at the Center.
Supported By / Reports To:
• The Artistic Director and the Executive Director
Skills Required:
• Good organizational skills and leadership skills.
• Musical knowledge (Celtic & International/World)
• Ability to delegate responsibilities and use effective follow-up to confirm task completion.
• Good communication skills and networking ability (aka "schmoozing").
